Theory Of A Deadman
Theory Of A Deadman
Theory of a Deadman had a simple but daunting goal for its third album: to make the greatest record possible.

"I always try to remind the guys and myself that there are 20 bands lined up behind us just waiting for a chance to take our place," says frontman Tyler Connolly. "So that means we had to go in there and make a great record." With Scars & Souvenirs, the Vancouver trio has hit its mark.

The balanced 13-track effort is the polished and passionate testament to seven years of hard work, heavy touring and diligent attention to its craft. From the swirling grind of "By the Way" to the nasty snarl of "Crutch" to the soaring melodicism of "Not Meant to Be" and "Wait For Me," Scars & Souvenirs is a broad-reaching endeavor that puts Connolly, guitarist Dave Brenner and bassist Dean Back high in the rock pantheon, achieving creative growth without sacrificing the hard-hitting power that got them here in the first place.
Pop Evil
Pop Evil
With Lipstick On The Mirror (Universal Republic/Pazzo Music), the Grand Rapids quintet revs up rock n' roll. Their first full-length album is just as loud and proud as the midwestern mecca where they hail from. Pop Evil push out a propulsive combination of epic guitar leads, massive sing-a-longs and bombastic beats on songs like "Breathe" and "100 in a 55." When all is said and done, these five men provide the proverbial kick in the pants that hard rock needs these days.
When they get together, singer Leigh Kakaty, bassist Matt DiRito, drummer Dylan Allison and guitarists Tony Greve and Dave Grahs make fist-pumping rock with edge and heart. Leigh explains, "We're very driven by classic rock, and we're more worried about writing good songs than creating a sound. If it gets us excited, we go with it."
Lansdowne
Lansdowne
Whether they are waking up in Afghanistan or hitting the stage with bands like Theory Of A Deadman, Saving Abel, or Halestorm, Lansdowne is the hardest working unsigned rock act in America. Jon Ricci (vocals), Shaun Lichtenstein (guitar), and Glenn Mungo (drums) have built a sound and live show that rivals their major label counterparts, filled with soaring arena-friendly choruses and an energy showcased by dynamic stage antics and the aspiration to leave each crowd asking, "Where the hell did these guys come from?!"

Recently featured on multiple Billboard charts and largely considered one of the top unsigned bands in the country by industry resources, the band has played over 400 shows and hit the road to support their brand new release, A Day In The Life, whose radio-ready songs are creating a buzz one station at a time. Watch Me Burn, the record's lead track, has become an instant favorite with fans and is steadily gaining airplay around the country as this infectiously fun summer rocker gains momentum.
